In Search of an Impedance Standard for Microwave Frequencies

The recent and continuing advances in automated network analyzers for use at microwave frequencies have generated renewed interest in the long-standing question of how one makes an accuracy assessment of these highly sophisticated devices. It is the purpose of this paper to briefly review some of the associated problems.
