The D2 B a One Logical Wire Bus for Consumer Applications

The D2B bus (Domestic Digital Bus) is a multi-master bus which can be used by various consumer units to talk to one another in a well defined manner. (Fig. 1) The bus is a serial bus and all bus control information and data flows occur serially over one connection. The only property demanded of this connection is that it provide either a "wire-and" or a "wire-or" facility. Thus the transmission medium can be a copper wire, a glass fibre, an infra-red beam or any other transmission medium which fulfils the above requirements.
