Infrared fiberoptic temperature control of the heating process in a microwave oven

An infrared (IR) fiberoptic temperature sensor was used to monitor non-uniform heating of biological samples. The developed system allows the monitoring of temperature with an accuracy of /spl plusmn/0.5/spl deg/C and can be very useful for medical, industrial and domestic applications.<
