Application of digital signal processing to acoustic simulation of auditoria

This paper describes two methods of describing the acoustics of a room. A statistical approach does not provide a very accurate solution. The geometrical approach provides a better solution by looking at the reflections of the sound rays. This result is presented in the form of an impulse response which is then convolved in real time with an input audio signal so that the sound response of the room can actually be heard.<
