Networking with CCITT DSS1 protocols

Examines the applicability of the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee (CCITT) recommendations on ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) access protocols, the Digital Subscriber Signalling No.1 (DSS1), to multi-vendor ISPBX, (Integrated Services Private Branch Exchange) networking environment. The authors look in detail at a new encoding technique and notation, and a generic remote operation mechanism, which is contained within the DSS1 layer 3 protocols, as an extra capability over and above Q.931.<
