Theoretical understanding of imaging and NDT techniques

The use of photon and charge particle beams for imaging and NDT and calculations for these applications and their interpretation require an understanding of the fundamental physical processes leading to attenuation of the beam. Two examples of image reconfiguration in X-ray CT and SPECT serve to illustrate what is required.<
