Service drivers for transparent networks

Summary form only given, as follows. The paper overviews today's end-user network drivers, (mobile, enterprise and broadband) to evaluate the requirements these services put on the transport network, and, in particular, how transparent optical networks can be efficient in meeting these requirements.
