Heat-affected zone evaluation of copper and iron metals induced by femtosecond laser ablation

In this paper, we would like to report on the heat-affected zone measurement of copper and iron bulk metals ablated with 100 fs Ti:sapphire laser pulses. The thickness of the heat-affected zone in the bottom area ablated is evaluated.
