A note on the frequency-dependent Lyapunov equation

In a recent contribution [l], a necessary and sufficient condition for 2-D stability was presented which was based on the solution of the frequency-dependent Lyapunov equation. In this note, an example is provided which indicates discrepancies in the necessity part of this condition.
