Gyrator Bandwidth Limitations

When a gyrator is made by paralleling two transconductances
g_{1}
and
-g_{2}
, the transconductances must be realized as low-pass amplifiers. It is shown that the gyrator bandwidth can be only a small fraction of the amplifier bandwidth.
