Analysis of fitness landscape properties for evolutionary antenna design

Antenna design is a complex engineering problem domain in which effective search methods are required. In this paper, we examine several fitness function landscapes using the method of barrier trees. A practical illustration of the use of the method is demonstrated for the design of 3 and 5 element dipole antennas.
