The present paper deals with the Acoustic Feedback Cancellation problem and proposes a real-time implementation on Texas Instruments C6713 DSK board of two AFC algorithms, one patented and the other recently appeared in the literature. Different approaches have been followed for their porting to target, in relationship with the domain they have been originally formulated (time and frequency respectively). Their performances are discussed and compared, thus providing a useful reference for scientist and engineers interested in real-time AFC applications. Moreover, moving from a previous work of the same authors on a PC-based real-time AFC system, this work also describes an hybrid PC/DSP real-time system for AFC simulation and testing. In such a system the PC and the DSP board (our TI C6713 DSK) are looped together: the former is devoted to room simulation whereas the latter accomplishes the speech reinforcement and feedback cancellation tasks.
