85-115 GHz corrugated conical horn antenna for the radio telescope system

The fabrication and design, based on cylindrical mode theory, for the analysis of the horn, and the vector integral method compared with Gaussian-Laguerre modes for the radiation pattern for the MM-wave corrugated conical horn feeder are determined. To design the corrugated horn in the MM-wave range, the considerations of both the excitation of the balanced hybrid mode and practical manufacturing investigations have to be significantly investigated. A 4-sectioned MM-wave corrugated conical horn, which has 3 corrugations for each wavelength, and a 0.65 slot/pitch is fabricated by the electric forming method. The measurement results for 85-115 GHz for a feeder of the radio-telescope antenna system are reported with theoretical values.
