Edge emissions from a PC board structure

TC9, the Computational Electromagnetics Technical Activities Committee within the IEE EMC Society, in conjunction with the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES), have formulated a series of challenging EMC modeling problems. This paper addresses 1999 Challenge Problem #1, "Edge Emissions from a PC Board Structure". The primary modeling method used to solve the problem, was a combination of the FDTD method and SPICE. Time domain to frequency domain conversions were handled using the an off-the-shelf PC based engineering equation solver.
