A method of acquiring and refining a signal depicted on an image

A tool is developed in order to acquire the analytical mathematical form of a signal depicted on an image. The resulting mathematical form can be used for simulation and survey purposes concerning the signal's originating system. The mathematical method, on which the tool is based, is presented in two sections. In the first section the signal's data set extraction algorithm is presented, while in the second section the analytical form representation procedure is outlined. A computer program realizing the proposed procedure has been constructed. Finally an oscilloscope printout is used to point out the method's validity and demonstrate the manageability of the software-implemented tool.
