Solution of electromagnetic vector inverse problem of polarimetry for deterministic class of objects on basis of Jones and Mueller matrix formalisms

The inverse problem of polarimetry is defined to be the problem of determining the anisotropy and depolarization properties of a studied object, given the probing radiation with definite polarization characteristics and the measured polarization characteristics of scattered radiation. The main subject of this paper is the problem of analysis of information contained in Jones and Mueller-Jones matrices. These matrices provide a complete description of the anisotropy properties of the studied object. However, the information is in the matrix in implicit form.
