Design of software reuse system using object model in system analysis

In spite of object model is importance and usefulness, object modeling is a time consuming activity and requiring an extensive experience and expertise. Sometimes, the object models for similar business areas are analogous to one another. Therefore, it is reasonable to reuse already developed object models if possible. In this study, we developed an object model reuse system by case-based reasoning, called COMOR System (case-based object model reuse system). This system consists of four subsystems: the graphic user interface to interact with end-user, the object model management system to build a new object model, the case base to store the past object models, and the knowledge base to store object modeling and reusing knowledge. We present the functionality of this system and show how it works on real-life application using ten-cases.
