Experience in operating a direct satellite broadcast system by NHK

NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) has been operating its satellite broadcasting system using the direct broadcasting satellites, BS-2a and BS-2b, for more than 3/sup 1///sub 2/ years in Japan, in collaboration with Telecommunications Satellite Corporation of Japan (TSCJ) and National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA). In this paper, NHK's experience in operating its satellite broadcasting system is presented, in reflecting the latest development of the system, which has been proceeded on since the inauguration of satellite broadcasting.<
