Ion-ion recombination in electronegative gases

Ion-ion recombination was investigated experimentally in some electronegative gases (SF/sub 6/, N/sub 2/O, CClF/sub 3/, CF/sub 4/, C/sub 3/F/sub 6/, and C/sub 3/F/sub 8/) in the pressure range from a few pascals up to several hundred kilopascals. Additionally, in SF/sub 6/, the temperature influence on the recombination at constant number densities was studied from 296 to 560 K. The data were analyzed within the framework of the Natanson theory.<
