New kind of sensors based on amalgamation of fiber optic and seaweed to control pollution in a water

Simple remote sensors are considered which are based on different variants of the amalgamation of optical fibers with a "living sensitive element" such as an aquatic plant. Fiber gratings can as provide a sufficient proportion of the propagated light in this "living" fiber's cladding to select a narrow laser line for selective excitation of the chlorophyll molecules to study the mechanisms of photosynthesis in the natural environment.
