Current-mode control of the step-down capacitor-coupled converter (C/sup 3/) for traction application

This paper presents a current-mode control method of the step-down capacitor-coupled converter (C/sup 3/). Two different bang-bang operating principle of inductor current and the suitable control scheme of output voltage under two load states, motoring and generating, are discussed. The operation of the converter is proved, by simulation results.
