Voltage Stability Assessment Using Line Stability Indices

At present, after examining the stability of the voltage we found concerns in the regular working of the power systems. It was observed that there was a lot of load in the system which lead to the concerns. It is important to run the system with minimum power loss because of increasing need of power by the humans and lack of enough power sources to fulfil our needs. The significant aspects regarding voltage stability indices have been discussed in this paper. The maximum loadability and weak bus identification are done using line indices. The fruitfulness is explained by numerical analysis using Line stability index (Lmn) and Fast Voltage Stability Index (FVSI) on Matlab IEEE 14 test bus system, IEEE 30 test bus system, at base loading and heavy reactive loading. This is very useful in the placement of optimal FACTS devices for improving the margin of voltage stability.
