Comparison of Clustering Effect in Space-Delay Domain at 5.8 GHz Depending on the Indoor Scenarios Sizes

This contribution provides a comparison between empty and furnished conditions within an indoor scenario in terms of delay clustering along strait paths in the band of 5.8 GHz. Indoor measurement data represent the input to analyze them form the optics of delay domain, observing the number and the shape of the different clusters configured by the different environments in broadband propagation. Results show that multipath contributions tend to group in clusters with similar delay at adjacent measurement locations. The amplitude and distribution of these clusters would be related to the performance of the radio links deployed within the considered environments. The size of the room has an influence in terms of the amplitude (lower when the room is larger) and the delay (larger as the room size grows) of these delay-domain contributions.
