Study and Application of Classification Method in SSG-30

All items important to safety shall be identified and shall be classified on the basis of their function and their safety significance, and appropriate requirements shall be chosen for these items corresponding to their classification. SSG-30 is the latest safety classification guide issued by IAEA, which specified a systematic safety classification method. In this paper, the method specified in SSG-30 is studied carefully and Safety Injection System (SIS) is chosen as an example to apply this method. The analysis process and results indicate that this method can be used in the specific design through appropriate adjustment.
