Performance evaluation of multiple bit-rate traffic mixing on UTRA

An investigation on the impact of mixed traffic on UTRA performance is presented. The competition for resource between different types of services affects their individual throughput/delay characteristics and that of the overall system. The objective of the work is to characterise the diverse operating points of UTRA, providing reference data for radio resource management optimisation.
