Calculation and Consumption Method of Multi-Time Period Abandoned Wind Power

China has already become a big country in wind power. It not only has the largest installed capacity in the world, but also has the largest amount of electricity generated. In particular, the disposable wind power is also the highest. In 2016, the power of the abandoned wind reached 49.6 billion kWh. In order to solve the large amount of abandoned wind power problems in the rapid development of wind power, this paper proposes models for annual and daily abandonment rule of wind power in the power grid and the analytical model of the maximum abandoned wind capacity and the maximum wind power law. Combined with practical examples, it reveals the rules of abandoning the wind in the northern power grid, which has important guiding significance for understanding the abandoned wind power and selecting the type of energy storage technology for abandoned wind.
