Solid State Transfomer Based Wind Energy Conversion System

The impact of renewable energy integration into the power system resulted in wind power as one of the emergingtechnology in the present scheme. This paper focuses on Solid State Transformer (SST) based wind system. Itaims to attain voltage transmission from intermediate to high frequency isolation, therefrom to enable reduced volume architecture as compared with the conventional transformer. A combined configuration of doubly fed induction generatorand SST operation is proposed hereto achieve the active power compensation in the wind system [4].
