An evaluation and the optimum threshold for radar return signal applied for a mutual information

This paper proposes a new evaluation method using mutual information for radar return signals. It is shown that there is an optimum threshold level for detecting a radar target in the received signal due to the maximization of the mutual information applied to the evaluation method.
