Versatile Photonic Integrated Optical Frequency Combs Generators for Millimeter-Wave Generation

We present two different types of integrated optical frequency comb structures, based on mode-locked lasers, fabricated on an indium phosphide generic technology platform. The structures present the particular feature that do not require cleaved facets, enabled by on-chip mirrors. The presented comb structures feature wide spectral bandwidth and mode spacing selectability.
