Dual Comb Spectroscopy with Free-Running Bidirectional Mode-Locked Laser at 1.9 μm

We demonstrate a dual-comb spectrometer based on a free-running mode-locked laser that operates bidirectionally at 1.9 μm. Since both laser signals are emitted from a common cavity, the mutual coherence requirement for dual-comb spectroscopy is satisfied.
