The design of anti-roll moment distribution for dual-channel Active Stabilizer Bar System

With the enormous development in the field of automobile safety, many active control systems of vehicle chassis have been invented and implemented. For balancing the roll stability performance of vehicle body during cornering and the ride comfort on straight road, a controller was designed for dual-channel active stabilizer bar based on sliding-mode theory to control the roll angle of vehicle body. After analyzing the influence of the distribution of anti-roll moment to the yaw motion of vehicle, a Mamdani-type fuzzy controller was designed to produce proper distribution coefficient to improve the yaw motion of vehicle according to state of vehicle. Finally the simulation analysis of double lane change (DLC) demonstrated that designed controllers can effectively reduce the roll angle of vehicle body with the improvement of the yaw response and the handling stability during emergent driving condition.
