A novel broadband circularly polarized square ring microstrip antenna with four L-shaped strips shorted

A novel wideband circularly polarized (CP) Square Ring microstrip antenna with four shorted L-shaped strips is proposed. The antenna is fed by a compact broadband phase shifting network for circularly polarized. Four shorted L-shaped strips attached to the radiation patch and the coupling-feed are employed for wideband operation. From the simulated results, it is observed that the impedance bandwidth (S11<;-10dB) of the proposed antenna is 56.7% (1.15-2.06 GHz) and the 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 69.7% (1.0-2.07 GHz).
