Approaches in microbial fuel cell array arrangements for conventional DC battery charger

Microbial fuel cell is rather an old and relatively novel concept of electricity generation where in a regular cell assembly the generation of electrons within the electrolytic solution occurs by the virtue of microbial action on a range of electrolytic solutions causing production of free electrons through the biochemical reactions thereby transferring these free electrons in between the anode and cathode and in case of an external circuit a net generation of voltage and current. This paper presents the stacking of such microbial fuel cells to produce an output suitable for the DC battery charging by the usage of sewage treatment.
