Prediction for remanufacturability of used parts based on extension synthesize evaluation

The remanufacturability is directly determined by the current quality of used parts, and it is highly necessary to accurately predict the remanufacturability of used parts. Based on this, a prediction approach to remanufacturability evaluation of used parts based on extension synthesize evaluation is presented, and domain partition in extension is applied to divide the remanufacturability levels of used parts into reusable level, repairable level, remanufacturable level, and recyclable level according to the damage degree and remanufacturing process. Taken quality characteristics of used parts as prediction indexes, mapping relationship between quality characteristics and remanufacturability levels of used parts by correlation functions. On the basis, matter elements model of remanufacturability levels of used parts is created, and the relevancy between quality characteristics of used parts and remanufacturability levels is determined. Finally, the guide rail of a used TPX6113 boring machine is taken as an example, whose quality characteristics are analyzed to determine its remanufacturability levels by the proposed method. The analytic results coincide very well with the engineering practice in the company of used machine tool remanufacturing.
