An iterative finite element boundary integral-physical optics method for analyzing shielding effectiveness of a cavity above large platform

Numerical simulations gain lots of attentions on analyzing shielding effectiveness of electronic equipment. However, most simulations only focus on the equipment itself but neglect the effect of platform, which reduces the reliability of numerical results. For catching the influence of the platform, an iterative finite element boundary integral-physical optics is presented in this paper. Compared with the conventional finite element boundary integral method, the proposed method can efficiently reduce the computational complexity and the number of unknowns. Moreover, to illuminate its validity and efficiency, the proposed method is adopted to analyze the shielding effectiveness of an inhomogeneous cavity above a large platform.
