A compact hybrid cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna for WLAN applications

To accomplish double frequency operation for WLAN applications, a cross breed double band dielectric resonator antenna with parasitic opening encouraged by a microstrip line is proposed. The proposed radio wire structure comprises of round and hollow dielectric resonator and H-space resonator. The H-space is scratched on the ground plane of the dielectric resonator antenna (DRA). By changing the structure parameters, the round and hollow dielectric resonator work at the higher band (5.5 GHz) and serpentine space work at the lower band (2.4 GHz), both resonators are emanating with two diverse radiation designs. Keeping in mind the end goal to decide the execution of the proposed antenna, utilitarian parameters, for example, return loss, transmission capacity, voltage standing wave proportion (VSWR), and radiation design is seen by the recreation of the structure with high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS). The proposed radio wire structure is reasonable for WLAN applications.
