Head disk interface charge and its potentlal applications

The head-disk spacing change has been achieved by applying a low voltage (<5 volts) of DC/AC charge at the head-disk interface. The flying height (FH) change was confirmed by both acoustic emission measurements and parametric measurements (amplitude, PW50, SNR).
