A high numerical aperture solid immersion lens magneto-optical recording system

Data storage densities of order~10 Gbits/sq.in require principally new approaches in the data recording systems to be developed. Magneto-optical recording techniques, such as Solid Immersion Lens(SIL MO) and Magnetic Super-resolution (MSR), become more and more attractive as potential candidates for future recording systems.
