Dynamic finite element analysis of a magnetic damper system

In this paper, we propose a vibration isolator system, which is composed of permanent magnets without any actuators. In order to improve the efficiency of the magnetic damper system, it is necessary to introduce numerical magnetic field analysis methods and moving simulation methods. Basic characteristics of a magnetic damper element are analyzed by using an axisymmetric finite element method. Dynamic simulations are also carried out by combining a motion equation. The obtained knowledge in this study can be utilized in developing a new damper element.
