It has been known that the Fe-based amorphous alloy is one of good core materials for inductive application because its core loss is lower than those of other metallic magnetic materials. However, the shape of amorphous alloys is usually limited to sheet, powder, wire, and film because of the necessity of high cooling rate resulting from their low glass forming ability.
