Reliable detection of faults in navigation systems

This paper presents some special aspects of fault detection in measurement systems. A new performance criterion and two suboptimal change detection algorithms are considered. The application of these algorithms to the problem of the global positioning system (GPS) integrity monitoring is discussed.
