A Circular Region of Interest Image Retrieval Algorithm

With the rapid rise of mobile Internet and smart mobile terminals, content-based image retrieval applications are becoming more and more widespread. The realization of search applications such as books, flowers and vegetables, and LOGO has also become one of the key technologies in Smart City. In this paper, a novel image retrieval method for region of interest(ROI) is proposed. Firstly, interest points of image are extracted according to Harris algorithm, a circular region of interest is obtained by screening interest points; then, extract the various features of the ROI. Finally using distance function to measure the similarity degree between images. Experiments show that the proposed method can effectively extract the region of interest, and achieve better retrieval performance.
