Identification using iris image analysis in frequency domain

Biometrics technology uses the physiological and behavioral characteristics of people for authentication. Biometrics are called to techniques that use unique, sustainable and measurable physiological or behavioral characteristics of people such as fingerprint, face, iris, voice, typing pattern and signature in order to confirm or define their identity. We can say that one of the promising biometric techniques is iris recognition. Because the rich texture of the iris, provide strong biometric measures to identify individuals. The research conducted in this paper includes the design and implementation of a new identification system based on iris images analysis. In this paper, using existing algorithms boundaries of the iris and eyelid are diagnosed and a new algorithm for iris feature extraction using Fourier transform in the frequency range is presented. In the next step the code obtained from each image is compared with existing code in the database and identification is done defining a threshold value.
