Continuous Wave Operation of a Yb3+–Ho3+ Co-Doped LuVO4 Laser at 2076 nm

We report a continuous wave Yb
³⁺
-Ho
³⁺
co-doped LuVO
₄
laser dual end pumped by laser diodes. A c-cut Yb,Ho:LuVO
₄
crystal is cooled at the temperature of 77 K, and a 303-mW output power of the Yb,Ho:LuVO4 laser is acquired at 2076 nm with a pump wavelength of 980.88 nm. The beam quality factor of the Yb,Ho:LuVO
₄
laser is measured to be M
_x
²
= 1.29 and M
_y
²
= 1.14.
