Engineering and Tunable Propagation of Wave Packets in Superconducting Quantum Networks

Using simplified models, we have demonstrated how a single-electron wave packet can be engineered to realize directional and controlled transfer of quantum information across superconducting networks. A scheme to design different (energetically allowed) outcomes by tuning a single characteristic parameter of the driven pulse is proposed. We have identified an optimal wave packet generated by a normal emitter and study, as an example, the dynamics of its adiabatic quantum pumping into a single superconducting lead and two superconducting branches of a hybrid Y-shaped beam splitter. Finally, a short discussion concerning realization of electron sources able to emit desired wave packets carrying a single electron charge is given.
