Real time speech — Interactive bomb disposal robot: With face and object recognition

Defense and Security have always been a major concern in our nation which is most prone to terror threats. This project represents a novel and reliable idea on Bomb Disposal Robots. There have been various ideas and working models used for similar purpose which has been an incredible motivation. Also, it performs all the tasks that a personal assistant should do that too at a lower cost and with much more efficiency. The Technician controls the robot using wireless technology and video display unit. The project includes the following applications namely, the mechanical arm with night-vision camera support, a high torque DC motor controlled brush to clean away obstacles and a metal detector to predict the location of the threat which all stand on a flat base rover. Also, it can perform these skills for the user through natural and intuitive interaction: speech plus other inputs such as text. It learns from interacting with the user in the context of its skills to personalize them for the user. By leveraging this ability of the robot, passing on instructions become that much easier. This would work both ways. The robot involved in the assessment of the bomb's status, weather outdoor and can provide feedback to its human controller through voice. It talks, learns, comes with a face and object-recognition technology. This way a human life is not at stake to diffuse a bomb or explosive, enemy threats from close quarters. A future bearing a system like that could save several lives, and push technology to its limit, thereby making the world a better place.
