Application of uniform design in jet projectile charges detonation insensitive explosives

In this paper, based on the model of Jet Projectile Charge (JPC) impacting and detonating insensitive explosive, and using the uniform experimental design, the structural parameters of shaped charge warhead such as the height of the liner, the sickness of the liner, standoff and the height of the charge are optimized by the regression analysis method. Moreover, it is found that the similar energy and momentum of Plastic Bonded High Explosives (PBX) were the highest when the sickness of the liner is 4.2% and 4.6% of the charge diameter, respectively. On this basis of this, the numerical simulation of the JPC impacting the PBX with the buffer layer is carried out, and the initiation fraction and the peak value of detonation pressure of PBX explosives are obtained respectively. The research results have certain guiding significance for the study and design of anti-missile warhead in the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).
