Fault detection and isolation of nonlinear systems designed by ARX-Laguerre model

This study uses the ARX-Laguerre model which guarantees a significant parametric reduction compared to the ARX model while also representing complex linear systems. From the ARX-Laguerre representation, we propose a particular observer capable to estimate Laguerre filter outputs and use the estimated vectors to generate indicator signals defects. The feature of the new observer is that it ensures a fault isolation of actuator and sensor.
