A novel dual-band dipole antenna based on triangular shaped fractal parasitic elements

A novel dual-band dipole antenna based on triangular shaped fractal parasitic elements (TSFPE) is proposed. The dual-band characteristic of the structure is achieved by joining TSFPE to the two arms of the dipole antenna symmetrically. The lower band is realized by arms of the dipole antenna and the higher band is realized by TSFPE. Both of the simulated results and measured results show that the proposed structure has great performances. Our research would enrich the types of dual-band dipole antenna and provide a reference for further researches of TSFPE in multi-band antenna.
