Analysis of multi-source effect in underwater communication

Underwater communication system has different characteristics compare to air communication. This is because water has a channel that is so complex and its natural state is not homogeneous. Not all signals can be used in water communications, one of the signals that can be used in water communication is acoustic signal, where the acoustic signal can travel far in the water. The vibrations generated by the acoustic signal can carry information. In this research, acoustic signal is sent at different frequency that is 500 Hz and 1500 Hz with the same time by tx, then received by rx simultaneously. The result of signal delivery was processed using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm where FFT changes the time domain to frequency so it knows the working frequency of all received acoustic signal. So this study can identify an object in water using the frequency received by Hydrophone but on the underwater communication flow of one of the most influential interference.
